The nanobubble industry reached a milestone in 2026 with the establishment of the North American Ultrafine Bubble Association (NAUFBA), the first industry body dedicated to advancing ultrafine bubble (nanobubble) technology across the United States. Yuhong Jiang, Founder and CEO of PureNanoTech (PNT), has been named the association’s founding President, in recognition of her leadership in the field.
NAUFBA was founded in 2026 by stakeholders in the U.S. nanobubble industry to advance ultrafine bubble technology across North America. Its board of directors works closely with counterpart associations in other countries to promote international collaboration in the ultrafine bubble community. The association’s stated objectives are to align North American practice with ISO/TC 281, pursue and administer the U.S. Technical Advisory Group (TAG) through the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), maintain terminology and measurement consistency across the industry, and coordinate technical working groups.
The founding board brings together leading organizations from across the nanobubble ecosystem. Alongside PureNanoTech, which holds the presidency, member organizations include Malvern Panalytical, Nanu Water Technology, Moleaer, HORIBA, I2 Air Fluid Innovation, the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), and Messer. Together they span equipment manufacturing, particle characterization instrumentation, academic research, and industrial gas and process engineering — reflecting the breadth of expertise now converging around ultrafine bubble technology in North America.
Ms. Jiang’s appointment as founding President underscores PureNanoTech’s central role in advancing the industry. A platform-based deep-tech company focused on the manufacturing of nanobubble equipment and its applications, PureNanoTech is dedicated to translating nanobubble technology from the laboratory into reliable industrial use. As Founder and CEO of PureNanoTech, Ms. Jiang brings decades of experience in environmental engineering and technology commercialization, with advisory work spanning the United Nations, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, and U.S. federal agencies.
